Over the past 100 years, credit unions have made innumerable contributions to build a better financial future for our consumer members. And we have done so through stellar service – not by amassing profits. We have an admirable history, a spirited tradition of people helping people. Let us take pride in the movement’s many achievements this past century. And let us also recognize that, working together with common purpose, our brightest days still lie ahead. Congratulations to all of you who put your energy and enthusiasm into making credit unions what they are today.
