New NMLS Ombudsman appointed

The Conference of State Bank Supervisors announced recently that Robert S. Niemi, Deputy Superintendent for Consumer Finance at the Ohio Division of Financial Institutions, has been named NMLS Ombudsman.   Niemi oversees the non-depository lenders in the State of Ohio including 16 license types and nine sections of the Ohio Revised Code. The Ombudsman provides the financial services industries and other interested parties with a neutral venue to discuss issues or concerns regarding NMLS and state licensing.
