HEIT Simpler-Webb merge cloud technology for FIs
FORT COLLINS, Colo. and AUSTIN, Texas (10/11/10)--HEIT and Simpler-Webb have merged to become a managed services provider for community financial institutions leveraging cloud technology. The company will operate under HEIT and serve more than 450 credit unions and community banks (VerticalNews.com Oct. 16). It will offer cloud-based managed services, which enable financial institutions to access on-demand technology and services without networks, data centers, servers or applications. HEIT provides institutions help with strategic planning and managing information technology performance, security and compliance. HEIT is based in Fort Collins, Colo. Simpler-Webb is based in Austin, Texas, and offers information technology solutions. HEIT also announced that it has elected Tom Shen to its board. He previously served as executive vice president of product, engineering and operations for Digital Insight.
