CUNA CFO COUNCIL DISCUSSES
THE PORTRAIT OF A MODERN CFO
Madison, Wis. - What type of chief financial officer (CFO) are you? What type of CFO does your credit union need? What qualities and skills are critical for that position in today's credit unions? Are these attributes different than they were in the past?
While math and finance knowledge are still critically important, the modern CFO must do more than crunch numbers and balance financial statement to be effective. Regulatory and compliance pressures, revenue source demands, operational challenges, and leadership issues mean that today's CFO must be adaptable.
A new white paper from the CUNA CFO Council, "Portrait of a Modern CFO," offers suggestions for CFOs to assess personal strengths and areas of opportunity and growth. For leadership in different job functions who are analyzing the credit union's staffing needs, this paper includes industry perspective on the evolving role of the modern CFO.
CUNA Council members are eligible to receive complimentary copies of this, and over 300 other white papers; non-Council members may purchase white papers for $50 per copy.
The paper is available online in the white paper section of www.cunacouncils.org.
Press may contact Natalie Sherry at firstname.lastname@example.org for a copy of the white paper.
