MADISON, Wis. (04/08/2013) – Lesley Carrell, Lisa Nicholas, and Andy Reed were honored for their credit union marketing and business development achievements during a ceremony at the CUNA Marketing & Business Development Council (CMBDC) Conference, which took place March 24-27 in Anaheim.
Lesley Carrell, Senior Vice President, Marketing for Fibre Federal Credit Union in Longview, Washington was Named the 2013 Hall of Fame Inductee
From her first credit union marketing position in 1990, Carrell has been a member of Senior Management Teams at the four credit unions she has worked. She joined the senior management team at Fibre Federal to create a marketing and business development team, along with overseeing strategic planning, market research, brand development, and execution of marketing and business development strategies. She has also been a member of the Asset Liability Committee at all four credit unions she was employed, and won each of the credit unions Dora Maxwell awards for Social Responsibility. Carrell was a founding member of the CMBDC and served on the executive committee twice, from 1995-2000 and from 2007-2010. While on the executive committee, she chaired the Diamond Awards and was chief judge for three years. She still serves on the Education Committee. Lesley also participated in the prestigious Filene Institute i3 Group from 2005-2007.
Lisa Nicholas, Vice President, Marketing for Amplify Federal Credit Union in Austin, Texas Won the Marketing Professional of the Year Award
Nicolas was awarded this recognition for her results-oriented strategies to market credit union products, services and rates consistently and effectively. In 2012, her marketing efforts exceeded every goal set forth in the Amplify FCU’s business plan – generating $81 million in loan growth, growing new memberships by 4,430 and opening 4,055 new checking accounts. She has given of their time through speaking at league leadership and development conferences, serving on a league chapter board. Nicholas has received numerous credit union awards including Dora Maxwell Social Responsibility Award.
Andy Reed, Manager Business Development for American Airlines Federal Credit Union in Fort Worth, Texas was Presented with the Business Development Professional of the Year Award
Reed has helped American Airlines Federal Credit Union grow to over 239,000 members, with over 40 branches nationwide and assets in excess of $5.6 billion. He manages a team of 15 Business Development employees and relationships with over 1,200 established TIP accounts including 27 strategic partners with multiple locations, along with managing the credit union’s Coordinator program (ambassador program) which has over 200 volunteer participants. He has served on his state league’s Marketing and Business Development Council Executive Committee and CUNA Marketing and Business Development Council Executive Committee since 2008. He volunteered at conference apprentice programs and has been a sought-after conference speaker.
