CUNA offers two learning options for the collections and bankruptcy topics. If you can’t decide which school to go to, use these tips as a guideline:
Consider the Introduction School if you are:
- New to the Collection department,
- Have less than five years working experience in collections or any formal training
- A member of the Credit Union management staff and need to understand the big picture of collections
Consider the Advanced School if you have been:
- Working in Collections for five or more years
- Have had training in the past and understand the basics of collections and Chapter 7 and 13 Bankruptcies
