Take your place among the volunteer elite.
Credit unions continue to become more complex – as do the skills required to lead them. At CUNA Volunteer Certification School, volunteers have the opportunity to rise to the challenge by developing the essential skills to distinguish themselves as competent and knowledgeable leaders. Attendees spend five days engaged in the need-to-know topics for successful governance including safety and soundness, CEO oversight, strategic planning and board operations and development.
CUNA Volunteer Certification School attendees have the opportunity to earn their Certified Credit Union Volunteer (CCUV) designation. This prestigious designation is only awarded to the credit union volunteer elite. It demonstrates professional competence and the dedication required to lead a credit union. For those who have already earned their CCUV designations, certification renewal is offered through the CUNA Volunteer Certification School Update.
Through the school’s comprehensive sessions, attendees will:
- Explore the duties, responsibilities and functions of the board
- Discuss CEO succession planning
- Study current trends, risks and strategies
- Set goals for establishing culture, mission and values
- Dive into strategic planning
