Consumer lending is a core service for members and a primary source of revenue for your credit union. Whether members apply for credit online, over the phone or in person, the lending process involves: application, interview, underwriting, closing and monitoring loan performance.
In this course, you will explore basic classifications and terminology of consumer credit and the relationship between loan agreements and pricing. Additionally, you will examine various consumer lending laws and regulations to ensure that your credit union is offering fair and equitable access to credit to all members. Finally, you will discover how to take service to the next level by recommending additional products and options that can help members achieve their financial goals.
