Marketing is critical to the success of your credit union. The more aware your current and potential members are about the products and services your credit union offers, the more likely they are to take advantage of them. In this module, you will gain fundamental insights and practical knowledge that will help you apply basic concepts of marketing on the job. You’ll learn how to identify member needs and wants; how the Marketing Mix of Product, Place, Price, and Promotion has expanded in current marketing practice; the roles that research, finance, accounting, and economics in marketing today; what goes into creating effective marketing communications; and the role collaboration plays with internal and external resources to the marketing department.
