CFPB Hot Topic: Consumer Lending Regulation
The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau is examining almost every type of lending affecting credit unions. This session was designed to review not only the complete rewrite of the way mortgage lending is done, but also credit cards, student loans and any other changes that are or may be on the horizon for 2013.
Lender Liability
The recent economy has generated an unprecedented number of foreclosures, repossessions and collections. Unfortunately, the number of lender liability lawsuits and counterclaims has mirrored this trend. This session will illustrate typical case law allegations, including negligence and breach of fiduciary duty, and will help you learn how to protect your credit union from these exposures. Also, you will learn some of the issues around repossessions and foreclosures to minimize lender liability risks and potential losses.
This webinar is part of CUNA Lending Compliance eSchool, which starts June 11, 2013.
Who Should Attend
This webinar is beneficial for credit union compliance staff, lending managers and CEOs interested in an in-depth look at the regulations that affect lending operations of all loan disciplines - consumer, mortgage, member business and indirect.
