About This EventIRA; the three letters of the alphabet that tend to make an employee want to run and hide. Most employees become very uneasy when asked any question regarding this beneficial product. But why is that the case? The answer often is a lack of confidence due to the complexity of an IRA.Eliminate your fears and attend this eSchool to develop a plan of action to deal with IRAs. Participants will learn the building blocks of IRAs. Often called the training that demystifies IRAs, you will learn the keys to Traditional and Roth IRAs and health savings accounts (HSAs).New accounts personnel will:

• Learn how to confidently open an IRA
• Understand beneficiary concerns
• Examine how to complete the required documentation for an IRA
• Identify the magic ages, penalties and requirements regarding this product

Member contact employees will:

• Examine the building blocks or foundation that is most critical with IRAs
• Learn how to confidently answer member questions regarding IRAs
• Discover how to refer a member from the teller line to the new accounts desk

All attendees will:

• Gain an increased level of confidence
• Identify where to get answers to questions asked by members regarding IRAs
• Gain a solid foundation upon which to build

Fred Volkman, CIP Fred is a training consultant for Ascensus, Inc., a division of Crump Group, Inc. He is responsible for developing and delivering IRA training programs on a national level to meet the needs of credit unions and leagues. Fred is also the project manager for compliance and operational eLearning. As such, he is responsible for overseeing new and existing webinars for credit union staff, including the development, design, implementation, assessment and maintenance of all courses. He is also the project manager for the IRAdirect® training environment.
