Michael A. L’Ecuyer is the President/CEO of Bellwether Community Credit Union in Manchester, New Hampshire. Under his leadership, Bellwether has grown to over $360 million in assets and serves 30,000 members with their financial needs. Mike joined Bellwether Community Credit Union in 1998 as the Senior Vice President and managed the retail banking, lending and operations of the credit union. He became CEO in 2001.
Before joining Bellwether, Mike was the Senior Vice President of Retail Banking at Safety Fund Nation Bank in Fitchburg, Massachusetts after holding Vice President positions in commercial lending at Safety Fund and Shawmut Bank in Worcester, Massachusetts.
Mike is a Director and Past Chair of the New Hampshire Credit Union League, Board Chair of the America’s Credit Union Museum Foundation, Chairman of New England Automated Clearing House (NEACH), Member of the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston’s Community Depository Institution Advisory Council and Secretary/Treasurer of the Telephone Workers Credit Union Advisory Council.
Active in the Manchester-area community, Mike is currently serving as a Trustee and Past Chair of the Palace Theatre Trust and a Director of City Year New Hampshire.
Mike holds a Masters in Business Administration Degree from Southern New Hampshire University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Elon University.
Mike and his wife, Debbie, have a daughter, Kristine. Mike’s hobbies include golfing and boating.
