TITLE:

Director - Donor Relations & Resource Development

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's Degree in Marketing (Business preferred) or equivalent work experience. Must have 6-8 years experience in developing and managing successful fundraising programs. AFP accreditation is a plus. Should have three years meeting planning experience. Must have excellent verbal/written communications skills. Attention to detail a must. Superior organizational skills a must. Must be able to effectively manage multiple priorities. Should have budget preparation experience. Ability to travel up to 30 days per year. CUDE designation preferred.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Fundraising: Ensure the annual flow of funds necessary for project support, operations and long-term financial sustainability of the NCUF and its programs. Primary responsibilities will be:

  • Oversight of fundraising for the Community Investment Fund, with the goal of increasing national participation
  • Developing and implementing the Corporate Sponsor Program, including Increasing the number of corporate sponsors and levels of exisitng support
  • Providing individuals and other donors opportunities to contribute to the NCUF outside of the CIF

Manager will also be responsible for annual fundraising plans, staffing NCUF's Fundraising Committee and development of appropriate budgets.

Donor Recognition: Establishing and managing a comprehensive program that provides ongoing recognition to NCUF donors, thereby increasing contributions to the NCUF. Primary responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the annual recognition presentations to leagues, corporate sponsors and other major donors
  • Providing appropriate recognition to CIF investors
  • Creating opportunities for NCUF board, management and significant partners to be recognized at NCUF events.

Plan and develop NCUF fundraising events. Includes serving as staff liaison to selection and program committees, coordinating details with award winners, presenters, registrants and volunteers; coordinating logistics through Meetings & Special Events; budget responsibilities; public relations; promotion; development of timelines. Events include: Golf Classic, Wegner Awards Program, others to be developed as needed.

Other duties as assigned, to include updates to NCUF's website and NCUF liaison to the State Credit Union Foundations Network.
