Convention Center

We’re Making the Move…
The GAC You Know, Even Better!

Whether you’re a first-time attendee or a GAC veteran, 2008 is a year you don’t want to miss as we celebrate our move to a city landmark, the Washington Convention Center.

The Convention Center is a state-of-the art facility that offers an abundance of opportunities for networking, seating, and an expanded exhibit hall. The new location offers many more restaurant and entertainment options. The success of this premier credit union conference has necessitated the move to a larger location. Our attendance grows each year and, while the Hilton has been the setting for the GAC for more than 30 years, the facility can no longer accommodate our growing attendance. The Convention Center offers expanded space for meetings, the exhibit hall, evening events, and networking options.

Take time to interact with a variety of vendors in the wide open exhibitor areas, mingle with your management team and board members at several of the different lounge and refreshment areas located throughout the facility, or just relax during your downtime at the cyber café. Everything is conveniently located in one place.

The Convention Center is located between 7th and 9th Streets and N Street and Mt. Vernon Place in downtown DC, right across from the new City Museum. The Convention Center address is:

Washington Convention Center
801 Mount Vernon Place, NW
Washington DC, 20001

View information on the Convention Center location at http://www.dcconvention.com/directions.aspx.

Convention Center tours will be offered on Sunday and Monday. Take advantage of a tour to learn more about the Convention Center and familiarize yourself with the location of meeting rooms, exhibit hall, and dining options.

One of the benefits of CUNA GAC is networking with your peers. Those options will be enhanced this year in the new location. There will be several seating options available, as well as areas serving food and beverages for your convenience. There is no need to leave the Convention Center once you arrive each day. An abundance of networking spaces and options will be available for you.
