Reserve your lodging.
Due to high demand, CUNA housing is currently full. Room reservations may still be
made. CUNA is working on obtaining additional hotel rooms. To reserve your room, click on
the link above. When a room becomes available, the hotel will be assigned and your name
will be deleted from the pending list. Names in pending status will be guaranteed a room
in one of the conference hotels, but the attendee will not have the option to choose the
hotel. |
The 2008 GAC offers a wide variety of accommodations near the convention center for your comfort and convenience. Shuttle service is provided Sunday through Thursday for the nine official conference hotels.
Arrive early and stay late! This year the GAC kicks off on Sunday, March 2 at 7:00 p.m. with an exhibit hall dessert reception, $1,500 Vacation Package drawing, and concert by the folk-rock band America. On Thursday, March 6, don't miss the closing session with Dave Barry and drawings for a Vacation Package and the CULAC Grand Raffle.
After housing opens, reservations can be made via web, phone, or fax.
- Visit gac.cuna.org, and click on Housing. This link will take you to the Housing Bureau website where you can follow each easy step for reservations.
- Call 800-974-3084 Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m.- 6:00 p.m. EST, starting November 5 at 2:00 p.m. EST.
- Beginning on Tuesday, November 6, you can reserve your room via fax to 800-521-6017. Fax reservations are not accepted on opening day.
A $200 per room deposit, payable by major credit card, is required for ALL reservations at the time of booking. Your credit card will be charged and the room confirmation will come directly via e-mail from the Housing Bureau. A limit of 10 room reservation per call or web order will apply.
When making reservations, please be ready with the following information:
- Name of conference: CUNA Governmental Affairs Conference
- 1st, 2nd, and 3rd choices of hotels
- Arrival and departure dates
- Number of rooms required
- Type of room needed: single or double, smoking or nonsmoking
- Number of persons staying in room
- Names of all occupants in room
- Arrival time
- Credit card type, name on credit card, number, and expiration date
- Individual’s organization
- Address of each person
- Telephone number of each person
- Fax number of each person
- E-mail address for each person (required for confirmations)
- If after your initial reservation, your method of payment changes for any reason, it will be considered a credit card change. A $50 credit card change fee will be applied for each reservation affected.
- A $50 per room fee will be charged for rooms cancelled between November 5, 2007 and January 4, 2008. The remaining deposit of $150 will be refunded.
- For reservations cancelled after January 4, 2008 there is a $200 cancellation fee per room.
- All reservations, changes and cancellations must be made with the Housing Bureau through Thursday, January 24, 2008 at 4:30 p.m. EST.
- Between January 25 and January 31, 2008, the Housing Bureau will transfer reservation information to participating hotels. During this time no housing changes can be made.
- Beginning February 1, 2008, all changes and cancellations must be made directly with the hotel and all deposits are non-refundable.
There are nine official GAC hotels offered through the housing bureau. To all rates add applicable taxes, currently 14.5%.

Federal Tax Exemption
In order for federal credit unions to qualify for tax exemption from state and local taxes
assessed to room charges, payment must be made by a check or share draft from a federal credit
union. Payments made by personal check, personal share draft, or credit card will not qualify
for the exemption.
