Breakout Sessions
The GAC breakout sessions help you know how to effectively deliver the credit union message, make the most of your Capitol Hill visits, and communicate with the media. You will also learn about developments in political fundraising and campaign involvement. The GAC hosts all three NCUA board members, key officials from the Federal Reserve Board, U.S. Treasury, U.S. Small Business Administration, and other federal agencies whose rules affect credit union operations
Breakout sessions at the GAC offer an up-close look at legislative, regulatory, and political topics such as:
- New Congress, New Administration: Exploring Their Agendas
- First Impressions Count: Making a Good One with the 111th Congress
- Regulatory Restructuring: Blueprint for Reform or Extinction?
- Putting Thought Behind Advocacy: Working with Washington Think Tanks
- The 2009 Economic Outlook: Implications for Credit Unions
This is just a sampling of the many topics offered. Additional breakouts will be added closer to the event.
