Navy Fed donates nearly $500,000 to military relief
VIENNA, Va. (10/14/05)--The Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society received $491,605 on behalf of Navy FCU's 2.6 million members.
The money will help Navy and Marine Corps personnel and their families rebuild after Hurricane Katrina.
"This tragedy was made even worse because many of the people affected have loved ones serving their country around the world," said Cutler Dawson, president/CEO of the $25 billion asset credit union.
"It makes me proud to be part of an organization whose members respond to the needs of others by contributing wholeheartedly to charitable organizations like the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society."
