Mississippi CUs have hurricane grant guidebooks
BILOXI, Miss. (4/18/06)--Two Mississippi credit unions will have copies of the application guidebook for the Hurricane Katrina Homeowner Grant Program.
Keesler FCU, Biloxi, and Navigator CU, Pascagoula, both will have copies of the guidebooks. Hurricane Katrina battered both credit unions last year.
"The application guidebooks will help homeowners as they assess their eligibility for the Homeowner Grant and begin to gather the documents and other information required to apply," said Scott Hamilton, director of communications, Mississippi Development Authority (The Sun Herald April 15).
As of late last week, more than 12,000 appointments had been arranged for homeowners applying for the grant.
