RSS feeds from CUNA News Now
News and information found on News Now, the Credit Union National Association's daily electronic news service, are available through Really Simple Syndication (RSS) feeds, which distribute any content updated during the day to the user with an RSS notification.
News feed reader programs:
To use News Now's RSS feed and get the updates as they occur, you will need a news feed reader. Some browsers support RSS; others require downloading and installing a news reader program (such as Sharp, FeedDemon or NetNewsWire--go to your favorite search engine and type in "RSS feeds" for more information on readers). These programs permit readers to display the latest headlines without opening the web browser. Instead, clicking on a headline will open the window to that story.How to access News Now's feed:
News Now's feed includes all updates to the website in one comprehensive feed. Look for the XML icon with the words "RSS feed" in the left margin of any News Now web page to connect you to the News Now RSS feed's URL. Click the icon to access the headlines. If your reader is incompatible, you will see a page of coding. Ignore that and go to the URL at the top.
To copy the feed into your feed reader:
- Open your feed reader;
- Select "new"--to create a new feed;
- Enter the News Now URL when prompted; and http://www.cuna.org/newsnow/rss/headlines.xml
- Follow the prompts on your feeder.
The updated headlines will pop up on your screen. Click the headline to read the updated item.
