Emi L. Montances

Emi L. Montances joined CUNA as the Political Affairs Accounting Coordinator in January 2007 and now takes on the responsibilities of Political Affairs Accounting and PAC Compliance Manager. Her responsibilities include the management of the Political Affairs department budget, as well as the accounting management and PAC compliance of ‘CULAC the PAC of Credit Union National Association’, CUNA’s federal PAC, one of the largest in the nation.

Emi holds a B.A. from California State University, Sacramento and a Masters of Business Management from Bellevue University, Nebraska. Prior to joining CUNA, Emi was the Accounting Assistant to the Controller of Washington Radiology Associates, P.C. (WRA) assisting with all aspects of the company’s financials, including PAC contributions from Associates.

Before WRA, Emi was the Accounts Payable and Inventory Accounting Coordinator for Cardinal Health Services in Omaha, NE where she reduced the company’s Accounts Payable aging purchase orders in less than 6 months. She also implemented other accounting practices which saved the company $2.4M over the course of 2 years.

Emi and her husband, both California natives, now call Virginia their home.
