A 1. Five Floridia representatives in the House were born in New York: Ginny Brown-Waite; John Mica; Debbie Wasserman Schultz; Dave Weldon; and Robert Wexler.

A 2. Three Congressmen who lost in 2004 returned to win seats in 2006: Baron Hill of Indiana; Nick Lampson of Texas and Ciro Rodriguez of Texas.

A 3. The longest serving member of the House is John Dingell of Michigan (since December 13, 1955).
