Project Differentiation
Do you know how CREDIT UNION NAME not only serves you, our members, but our community as well? Beginning ADD DATE, we will make sure you know.
CREDIT UNION NAME is about to become one of the credit unions nationwide that are showing their members the valuable role the credit union plays in the community by participating in Project Differentiation.
As part of the effort, CREDIT UNION NAME will create a document called a Statement of Commitment that details our service to all of our members (INCLUDE CREDIT-UNION SPECIFIC INFORMATION SUCH AS TEENS, SENIORS, FIRST-TIME HOMEBUYERS, BUSINESSPEOPLE, ETC.), as well as practices and policies that affect how we provide service.
SAMPLE QUOTE: Members may know we offer better rates on loans than other financial institutions. But a lot of them may not know we offer members help if theyre having trouble repaying loans through referrals to credit counselors, or that well waive fees to make repayment easier, says CU SPOKESPERSON.
In addition to serving individual members, CREDIT UNION NAME also serves the community at large.
GIVE OTHER EXAMPLES SUCH AS THESE. Each year, 15 community groups use our meeting rooms, we contribute $10,000 each year to support community and civic events, and staff members give a total of 500 hours of service to local charities. The Project Differentiation Statement of Commitment will include information on how we help our members, their familys and CITY or COUNTY not always seen or heard in our ads.
Members of the CREDIT UNION NAME volunteer Board of Directors will be reviewing the credit unions services and activities and plan to have our Statement of Commitment completed by DATE.
- In next months issue: What differentiates a credit union?
