MADISON, Wis. – Fifteen credit union professionals were recertified for their financial counselor designation by CUNA in April.

The Certified Credit Union Financial Counselor (CCUFC) designation requires recertification every three years to ensure financial counseling knowledge remains current. In order to be recertified, designees must accumulate 30 hours of financial counseling training within the three-year period and pass a recertification exam. This can be completed by attending CUNA’s Certified Financial Counselor School: Advanced or completing the self-study Credit Union Financial Counseling Certification Program (FiCEP) Recertification Module.
