Scholarship Applications Sought by CUNA Marketing/Biz CouncilSeptember 8, 2004FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE MADISON, Wis. – The CUNA Marketing & Business Development Council is currently accepting applications for a number of scholarships aimed at improving education, skills, and opportunities for credit union employees working in marketing and business development fields. A total of four scholarships will be allocated, each one for up to $1,500. Two scholarships will be awarded for the twelfth annual CUNA Marketing and Business Development Council Conference - one to a marketing professional and one to a business development professional - taking place March 16-19, 2005, in Palm Springs, Calif. Both winners will receive a complimentary enrollment for the conference and all pre-conference workshops in order for the allocation to be used for hotel and airfare expenses. The remaining scholarships will be conferred for regular session registration and other related expenses for the 2005 sessions of CUNA’s Marketing Management School (Part I, Part II, or Part III) and Business Development School (Part I or Part II). One award will be given for each school with the recipient choosing which part to attend. The education subcommittee, led by Mary Olson, vice president of marketing and training for Delta Employees Credit Union and Susan Miller, business development manager for Georgia Federal Credit Union, will decide winners. Selection is based on financial need and commitment to the marketing or business development profession. To be eligible, all applicants must meet the following requirements:
