MADISON, WI – The Center for Professional Development at CUNA announces the addition of Financial
Analysis: Tools for Credit Union Decision Making, by Eric Bolland, to the Management Enrichment Training
(MERIT) Program.
Financial Analysis: Tools for Credit Union Decision Making is about making business decisions that serve
the objectives of credit unions. It focuses on tools and techniques of financial analysis that help you
make well-grounded decisions in financial matters and beyond. This module covers topics such as:
- Finding Profit Points and Making Program Decisions
- Uncovering Costs and Benefits and Working with Groups
- Simple Tools for Minimizing Costs and Maximizing Benefits
- Making Decisions Using Short-Term and Long-Term Cost-Benefit Analysis
Eric Bolland is a strategic market information manager. He has authored numerous articles on cost justification and has taught at the
University of Wisconsin, Madison School of Business as well as Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He holds a Doctor of
Business Administration degree from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
The MERIT Program is designed to benefit management staff as well as those striving for supervisory positions. The program includes a
variety of courses students may select to enhance their learning in particular areas of interest. Students earn the Credit Union Management
Award after completing six modules and can continue to progress through the program until they receive the Diamond Award, which they earn by
completing thirty modules.
