CUNA Offers Training & Development Institute and Seminars

MADISON, WI CUNA’s Center for Professional Development’s Training & Development Seminars are set
for October 21, 2001, and Training & Development Institutes for October 22 24, 2001. All sessions
will take place in New Orleans, Louisiana.
Participants can choose from two tracks. Part I is designed for new trainers and those with less than one
year of experience training for their credit union. The Part I Seminar will cover Adult Learning Theory,
Instructional Systems Design Overview and Learner Motivation. The Part I Institute will cover Effective Use of
Training Technologies, Needs Analysis and Course Design, Training Budgets and Facilitation Skills.
Part II is designed for those with experience in managing, administering or delivering credit union training
for staff and volunteers. The Part II Seminar will cover Future Issues in Training and Electronic Training: A
Hands-on Review. The Part II Institute will address Benchmarking Training as a Business, Adapting Training
Technologies to Current Offerings and Training for Generational Differences. The Part II Seminar and Institute
also feature:
- A lab experience to explore potential web-based learning.
- An off-site
- A CU university experience to design
learning experience to enhance participants’ creativity.
and implement your own curriculum.
Throughout both programs, a team of facilitators from CUNA’s Center for Professional Development will guide
participants in making the connection between the cutting-edge topics covered and their real-life credit union
environments.
