MADISON, Wis. (January 6, 2010) - CUNA's Consumer Lending School and Mortgage Lending School are combining to offer the premiere training event for credit union lenders. The CUNA Consumer & Mortgage Lending School will be held March 28 - April 1, 2010 in Las Vegas, NV. The school has been specifically tailored to help credit unions successfully meet the competitive consumer lending and mortgage demands in the current economy.

"Credit unions need to have lending professionals who have the knowledge and skills to meet the competitive demands of today's lending industry," said Shawn Lanier, Instructional Design Manager for CUNA. "This program addresses the needs of all staff levels in a new combined learning format; new lenders can learn the essentials and experienced lenders can attend advanced sessions to add to their existing knowledge. The beauty of this new format is attendees can customize their own learning."

Featured general sessions include:

  • Leadership Isn't Always About the Title
  • Lending in Today's Market-Challenges & Opportunities
  • Assessing Risk in Volatile Times Without Losing Your Shirt
  • Economic Trends
  • Personal Survival in a Crazy World

Customized breakout sessions are being offered in order to address specific training needs.

If those interested in attending cannot make the entire program, attendees can customize their training by choosing the day(s) they want to attend.
