MADISON, WI – National rate comparisons for over 8,000 banks and credit unions, updated daily, are now

available on CUNA News Now. The new service, called the Datatrac RateDex, is part of an alliance between the Credit

Union National Association (CUNA) and Datatrac, an information services company specializing in the financial

services industry.

Rate averages for deposits, consumer loans and mortgages from banks and credit unions are updated on RateDex

each day. Using this data, CUNA breaks out a side-by-side comparison of bank and credit union rates at national,

state and market levels.

"Daily credit union content from News Now has become somewhat of a habit for our readers," explained Jim

Hanson, vice president of publications for CUNA. "With over 8,000 financial institution rates updated daily,

RateDex is a natural complement to our fresh news offerings."

Datatrac also provides credit union and bank rate statistics for

CU Exec Online and public relations tours that

CUNA conducts with the Consumer Federation of America, helping credit unions improve their image by providing

relevant interest rate comparisons for both national and local media.

With over 3 million interest rates updated annually, Datatrac manages the most comprehensive financial products

database in the industry. In April, CUNA entered into a long-term strategic contract with Datatrac to give credit

unions access to Datatrac’s database of national, regional and local interest rates. Information can be delivered

to credit unions weekly, biweekly or monthly by fax, e-mail or a customized, security-coded Internet Research

Center.
