MADISON, WI — In 1999, credit unions’ staff turnover rate averaged 16.5%, ranging from 39% of credit unions with less than 10% turnover rate, to 16% with 30% or higher turnover rate, according to Credit Union Executive Journal’s 2001 Recruitment and Retention Survey Report. CUNA’s Center for Professional Development’s Human Resource Management Schools, Parts I & II, are set for September 23 — 28 in Palm Springs, California. Part I is designed for credit union professionals new to the human resource management function, individuals with limited HR experience or formal HR training, past attendees of Train-the-Trainer Institutes, and individuals who want an overview and basic understanding of human resource management practices.
