The CUNA HR Council is pleased to announce the appointment of Tracy Laurie to their Executive Committee. Laurie is the director of Training and Development at Boeing Employees Credit Union in Seattle, Washington. She occupies the seat previously held by Mark Brennan.

"We are very excited to have Tracy as part of the HR Council Executive Committee," says Todd Surline, Chair of the CUNA HR Council and Vice President of Human Resources for Michigan State University Federal Credit Union, East Lansing, Michigan. "She brings a wealth of new knowledge and experience to our group."

Laurie has experience working at all levels of the credit union movement, from entry-level trainer to director in large and small credit union environments. She is involved in educational program planning for both her local credit union chapter and the Washington League. She is also on the Credit Union Executive Society Online Council, which develops material for their Online University program. Laurie has been with Boeing for more than 13 years.

The CUNA HR Council is a credit union human resources organization in which HR executives themselves are in charge. Members of the CUNA HR Council craft and direct the only organization that meets their professional development and networking needs. By working closely with peers — all of whom are HR executives from credit unions nationwide — members help create an environment that increases the credibility and viability of HR officers as professionals and credit union HR as a profession.

With its network of affiliated state credit union leagues, Credit Union National Association serves more than 90% of America’s 10,700 credit unions, which are owned by more than 80 million consumer members. Credit unions are not-for-profit cooperatives where people are worth more than money. For more information, visit www.cuna.org.
