MADISON, Wis. – Introduce credit union members to the Little Guy and explain their options for when an adjustable rate mortgage (ARM) is about to adjust in two new statement stuffers from CUNA.

In “Credit Unions Stand Up for the Little Guy: You,” members meet the Little Guy – who was created as part of a Capitol Hill campaign emphasizing that credit unions look out for the Little Guy. The stuffer explains that the Little Guy represents the 89 million hardworking Americans who belong to credit unions, how credit unions are helping the Little Guy, and how members can also help protect him. The Credit Union Regulatory Improvements Act (CURIA) is outlined, along with the ways that CURIA would benefit credit union members.

According to a recent Bankrate.com survey, one in three homeowners with an ARM say they don’t know what they will do when their rate adjusts. Explain their options and how their credit union can help them with the “What to Do When Your ARM is Due” statement stuffer. Three basic options are discussed along with the positives and negatives of each.

For more information or to purchase online, go to finlit.cuna.org and enter stock number 28037 for the Little Guy stuffer or stock number 28038 for the ARM stuffer in the product finder search engine. To order by phone, call (800) 356-8010, press 3, and use the stock number as a reference.
