About This Event

This session will address the changes to the Expedited Funds Availability Act's Regulation CC elimination of the nonlocal check rule and the effect of this rule on your credit union's Reg CC disclosures and exception holds. Additionally we'll review the policy and procedures that credit unions use to provide service yet prevent losses when taking checks for deposit from members, along with the correct use of non-Reg CC check holds to prevent fraud losses.

We will also discuss Remotely Created Draft issues, the new and significant liability theory of "Good Faith" claims on checks for deposit, new Check Overdraft (Courtesy Pay) issues and requirements in addition to a number of stop payment vs. lost check issues.
