About This Event

This eSchool will help you continue your compliance training to gain a thorough understanding of the credit union regulatory environment and know how to comply with each regulation.

When you register for this complete eSchool, you'll receive all six RegTraC Level 2 compliance modules to use as study guides. After you register, expect to receive your complimentary RegTraC modules within 7 - 10 days. For those attendees registering within six days of the eSchool, modules will be sent out with a two day delivery date. Instructors of the eSchool will use additional handouts as well as reference the modules.

Attendees may choose to obtain their Credit Union Compliance Expert (CUCE) certification by successfully completing proctored exams.


Did you know? Board members and volunteers can earn 8 credits toward the CUNA Volunteer Certification Program (Level 2, Safety and Soundness) to earn your Certified Credit Union Volunteer designation by successfully completing the optional exam.

Archived CUNA eSchools enable staff to pick up new skills and keep up with daily responsibilities. Viewing a archived eSchool will enable you to see and hear a presentation, questions of the instructor, and refer to handouts. You need only a computer with an Internet connection and speakers. If you have a computer projection screen, it's easy to provide this training to a whole roomful of staff!

Use our 90- to 120-minute archived eSchools as part of a full day of training by gaining knowledge and ideas at the eSchool, then spend some time discussing how the new information applies to your credit union.

A single session archived eSchool will be made available usually within 48 hours of the live event and a two session archived eSchool will be made available within 48 hours of the conclusion of the second session. Instructors

Bill Klewin

Bill is director, Regulatory Compliance in the Lending Solutions area of the CUNA Mutual Group in Madison, Wisconsin. In that role, he is responsible for consumer regulatory compliance for LOANLINER, loanliner.com, and other products.

Bill is nationally known for his expertise in consumer lending and operations. He is recognized as the nation’s expert on open-end multi-featured lending. He has spoken at numerous conferences focusing on credit union and financial institution issues, was a main teacher in a team chosen by the NCUA to train state and federal examiners in consumer lending, and is a regular contributor and columnist in various publications on lending related issues.

Bill joined CUNA Mutual in 1986 as assistant counsel and has held various positions in CUNA Mutual’s Legal Department and business areas. Before joining CUNA Mutual, Bill maintained a private practice, concentrating on commercial and business law.

He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Wisconsin in 1978 with a BA in History and received his Juris Doctor in 1981. He is a member of both the Wisconsin and American Bar Associations.

Bill served for 11 years on the board of directors of a Madison based credit union, including two years as chair of the board.

The CUNA Mutual Group is headquartered at the Credit Union Center in Madison, Wisconsin, and provides insurance and financial services to credit unions and their members throughout the world.




Mary-Lou Heighes, CUCE

Mary-Lou has been involved in the credit union movement since 1989. She has been involved in all areas of credit union operations: general operations, marketing, collections, lending and compliance. She is a CUNA Certified Credit Union Compliance Expert (CUCE) and is president of Compliance Plus, Inc., which provides strategic planning, training, compliance and consulting services to credit unions. Mary-Lou was the senior research and information consultant for the California/Nevada Credit Union League for seven years and since founding her company in 2000, has provided training for credit unions and leagues around the country. Prior to her tenure at the league, she spent five years in the credit union trenches.



Tyler Parker

Tyler is a nationally recognized speaker on financial institution operational and compliance topics, who over the last 20 years has taught compliance programs for 45 Credit Union Leagues, the Credit Union National Association (CUNA), the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) and numerous credit unions and financial institutions.
