Customer Experience and High ROI Opportunities for Credit Unions

Mark Meyer
This report, a collaboration between the Filene Research Institute and global consultancy McKinsey & Company, explores why consumers consistently give credit unions their highest satisfaction scores, yet take their business elsewhere, and what credit unions can do about it.

Reality-Based Strategies for the Credit Union System: How to Achieve Sustainable Growth

John Lass
In this presentation, John Lass will cover three primary topics: 1) Why the credit union system is more important now than ever before; 2) How credit unions can gain share of market and share of wallet; and 3) What credit unions must do to ensure sustainable growth into the future. John will discuss the key challenges facing the CU system today, including loss of fee income, assessments and a shifting landscape for lending products. But John will also discuss strategies and actions that credit unions can implement to overcome these critical "headwinds". John will draw upon his experience as a strategy consultant at the Boston Consulting Group and as the head of strategy for CUNA Mutual Group to present relevant case studies and practical solutions to enable credit unions of all sizes to prepare to survive and thrive in the "new normal" economy that is still emerging. Your active participation in this session is not only welcome but strongly encouraged. John looks forward to an active dialog with you in Flagstaff.

D.C. Legislative Update: Opportunities and Implications for the Credit Union Movement

John Magill
Having a presence on Capitol Hill is currently more important than ever. Whether it’s fighting off banker attacks, communicating the safety and soundness of credit unions to legislators and all media outlets, or helping ensure the financial success of credit unions, the need for political advocacy is always growing. Attend and get a D.C. update and review the current status of credit union-friendly legislation.
