About This Event

Get a solid overview of the regulations that affect your credit union's operations and dive deeper into the specifics of each regulation.

This three part eSchool is designed to be an introductory and basic overview of the regulations affecting your credit union's operations. The information offered in this eSchool will be beneficial for any credit union staff person or director. It is also a solid introduction to the world of compliance for anyone new to the field. And it's a perfect starting point for new compliance staff planning to earn their Credit Union Compliance Expert (CUCE) designation through CUNA's Regulatory Training & Certification Program (RegTraC).

Topics & Objectives
  • Gain a solid overview of the major regulations affecting credit unions.
  • Learn basic regulatory information that applies to all levels of credit union staff.
  • Receive a solid understanding of the regulations that will be included in the Regulatory Compliance Introduction eSchool.

Who Should Attend

This eSchool is beneficial for compliance staff, management staff, directors or any credit union staff person interested in an overview of the regulations affecting their credit union on a daily basis. Those planning to earn their Credit Union Compliance Expert (CUCE) certification through the RegTraC program would also benefit from attending.

Affiliation with CUNA/League is required for attendance.

Instructors

Jami Weems

Jami serves as a senior compliance officer for PolicyWorks. She works with individual credit unions to develop, update and administer their compliance programs. In addition, Jami is a resource for credit unions to bring compliance questions, and she develops and delivers tools to assist credit unions in meeting their ongoing compliance responsibilities.

Jami has spent the last 15 years serving credit unions in various capacities. She served as an examiner for the Iowa Division of Credit Unions, was the chief financial officer for a credit union and most recently served on a credit union board of directors. Prior to joining PolicyWorks, Jami was employed with Iowa College Student Aid Commission as their finance director.


Cancellations

Cancellations received in writing (via fax 608-231-4327) before the end of business on July 30, 2012 are eligible for a refund of the amount paid minus a $200 administrative fee. No refunds will be granted for cancellation requests received after July 30, 2012. Substitutions are accepted anytime prior to the start of the program at no additional cost. Simply fax event and contact information, listing the new participant and who they will be replacing. Cancellation fees do not apply for free or complimentary programs.
