About This Event
COMPLIANCE REQUIRED: Identify what your credit union needs to have in place by January 2012.
Because more credit union members are conducting transactions online, NCUA and other federal financial regulators issued updated guidance in June 2011 to address Internet threats which have changed significantly over the past several years. Sophisticated hacking techniques and growing organized cyber-criminal groups are increasingly targeting financial institutions, compromising authentication mechanisms and security controls and engaging in online account takeovers and fraudulent electronic funds transfers.
Join your credit union peers and take a close look at what the NCUA expects credit unions to do to be in compliance with this guidance. You will also hear what the examiners will be looking for when they come into your credit union.
Joining Catherine Yao, information systems officer in the NCUA Office of Examination & Insurance, will be a representative from one of Credit Union National Associations strategic partners to further discuss the guidance. A credit union IT professional will also be part of this webinar to provide a look at how they plan to implement the new guidance and share some best practices.
This event is produced by the CUNA Center for Professional Development and endorsed by the CUNA Technology Council.
