About This Event

In this difficult economic environment, more and more credit unions are finding creative solutions to help their members through loan modifications. Some loan modifications will result in trouble debt restructured (TDR) loans which have very specific accounting and reporting requirements. Join us for this webinar and learn the basics of TDRs before your next regulatory exam or audit.

During this webinar, you will:
  • Identify accounting guidance and principles over TDRs and other real estate owned (OREOs) loans
  • Find out when a loan modification results in a TDR
  • Learn how to measure loan impairment for a TDR
  • Review the unique disclosures for TDRs in both the financial statement notes and the call report filed with the NCUA
  • Learn the accounting measures for OREO properties at the three stages of its life
