About This Event

A power of attorney is a writing that appoints and authorizes a person to act on behalf of another person in order to assist that person in handling his or her business and/or personal affairs. This training session is designed to provide details on the primary reasons a power of attorney is created, discuss its duration and what information credit unions need to obtain from all parties to ensure it is protected when handling power of attorney issues.

Instructors

Dana Campbell

Dana joined the League in 2011 as a Compliance Specialist. In this role, Dana serves as a primary point of contact for compliance inquiries, delivers compliance training to credit unions, and supports compliance projects at individual credit unions. Prior to joining the League, Dana was a Litigation Management Associate with Barclays Capital. A graduate of Wake Forest University School of Law, Dana also holds a BA in Communication Studies from UNC-Greensboro, as well as a minor in Sociology.


Cancellations

Cancellations received in writing (via fax 608-231-4327) seven or more days before the start of the program are eligible for a refund of the amount paid minus a $50 administrative fee. No refunds will be granted if cancellation is received six days or less before a program begins. Substitutions are accepted anytime prior to the start of the program at no additional cost. Simply fax event and contact information, listing the new participant and who they will be replacing. Cancellation fees do not apply for free or complimentary programs.
