What past attendees say
"Before attending, I thought the expense was not justified. I am now convinced that I would not have learned nearly as much had I simply studied at home." ~Gerry Kauffeld, Jersey Shore FCU, Brigantine, NJ
"Being relatively new to the financial services industry, I would recommend this class as required knowledge for anyone in a lead operational role (not just compliance-specific persons). This did more for my understanding of credit union process and procedure than any other investment I've made to date."
"I have been in banking for over 20 years and I have never had such a thorough explanation of several topics that we covered. I was more than satisfied."
"The volume of information was amazing. Having a quality trainer walk me through some of these regulations was very beneficial. They were able to provide an overview and reasons for the regulations, and touch on which details were more critical than others. I have a much more solid understanding of these compliance issues."
"Great class for those new to compliance. A must for all those interested in the credit union industry."
"One of the best conferences I've ever attended. I wish this was available to me 12 years ago. Every senior manager should attend this compliance school training." ~Kelly McConnell, EVP, PriorityONE Credit Union (2007)
"I went from 0 to 60 in one week and left the conference a more confident, informed compliance officer!"
"This class was instrumental in helping me to put all of the pieces of the puzzle in place. All of the laws/rules/regulations don't seem so daunting when they are explained in such a manner as by the various presenters. The sessions were challenging and mentally stimulating. I know not only who to call, but more importantly, where to look for information on my own. I have a very solid foundation to take me to the next level of compliance management and training. They've given me a very solid platform on which to stand." ~Valerie Edgington, CUCE, Ohio Credit Union System (2007)
"I learned so much, that I felt that I could slay dragons! Can't wait to get back to work and get started."
"I was new to the area of regulations and compliance. The CUNA Regulatory Compliance School provided a program that covered a lot of material in a short amount of time while fostering a fun learning environment. I am confident that I will be able to take the information back to my credit union and further develop and improve our compliance program."
"I got a very good overview of regulations. I'm a consumer loan manager, so regulations aren't my specialty, but the training I received will definitely help me with my position as well."
"I succeeded in achieving the goal of earning my certification. I can now say I am a CUCE. Hooray!!!!!"
"Although I've had many, many years of banking experience, I'm not experienced to the ways of the credit union. I learned a lot from this program. It provided me with a better foundation to help me build this new career. I would love to attend again."
"It improved my knowledge of compliance 100%. Without this program, I would still be in the dark. Thank you all."
"CUNA's Regulatory Compliance School: Introduction is a real eye-opener. In five days, quality instructors somehow ensured that I received a solid command of regulations and compliance from mortgage and consumer lending, to deposit accounts and operations, to NCUA rules, regulations, and requirements. There is NO way I could have done this on my own. The end result is definitely worth the time, energy, and strength!"
"I would recommend this class to anyone who is involved with compliance as it gives you a different perspective on your job. I also believe that it makes you more valuable to the credit union you work for."
