About This Event

This unique, one-day seminar gives you insight on how to prepare and protect your staff in case of a robbery. You'll spend part of the day in a credit union where you'll learn how to respond in two different robbery situations.

TOPICS & OBJECTIVES:

Robbery Simulation & Debriefing

  • Learn first hand what to do before, during, and after a robbery, by experiencing simulations of note pass and hostile takeover robberies at a local credit union (Transportation will be provided to and from the credit union)

Emotional Response & Post Robbery Trauma Team

  • Learn how to reduce fear and guilt in staff after a robbery has taken place
  • Understand the importance of trauma education and victim assistance after a robbery
  • Establish the techniques that you can use to provide emotional and peer support

While fraud prevention and security issues are everyone's responsibility, this training is especially beneficial for security officers, managers, internal auditors, and volunteers who wish to ensure the safety and soundness of your credit union.

Affiliation with CUNA/League is required for attendance.

Ron Canham
