Compliance Fundamentals Workshop
(Board Track: Level 2, 6 credits, Safety & Soundness Category)
Robert Rutkowski
Compliance is becoming increasingly important at all levels of the credit union. Directors need to be aware of these issues as well. Keeping up-to-date with key compliance topics will help you maintain your board's course and progress. If the buck stops with the board, then awareness of compliance issues must start there.

In this workshop you'll:

  • See an overview of major regulations from A-Z
  • Focus on regulations and compliance issues that credit unions specifically face including Regulation Z, Regulation B, Truth in Savings, and The Fair Credit Reporting Act/Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act
  • Be able to identify the regulations that impact your job at the credit union
  • Review federal rules on advertising compliance and what your credit union may or may not do in selling products to your members
  • Learn the potential consequences of non-compliance

Plus! Earn the credentials of a credit union board expert.

By successfully completing identified sessions and exams, you can earn credits for the CUNA Volunteer Certification Program toward your Certified Credit Union Volunteer designation.

We're here to help!
CUNA offers the board training necessary to fulfill proposed NCUA requirements issued in the recent comment letter. More.
