Downloading Sametime

To participate in an online eSchool, you must download and install a small piece of software called Sametime. This information will help you download this software.

  1. Enter the following URL into your web browser: http://elearning.cuna.org

  2. From the Welcome page, click “Attend an eSchool.”

  3. From the Active Meetings page, click the meeting titled: “CUNA Download.”

  4. A Security Warning box will pop up. Click “Yes” or Sametime will not download properly.

  5. You may see a box that asks you one of the following questions:

    • “Do you Want To Install Sametime JNI Meeting Install Screen?”
    • “Do you Want To Install Sametime Meeting Room?”
    • “Do you Want To Install Microsoft VM (or Virtual Machine)?”

    Click yes. This will begin the downloading of the Sametime applet. Please be patient as the download process may take anywhere from 2 minutes to 2 hours to complete!

  6. If another Security Warning box comes up, click “Yes” or Sametime will not download properly.

  7. You will then see a box that states, “How do you want your name to appear in the meeting?” Please type your first and last name and your state abbreviation, then hit O.K.

  8. A meeting password box will appear. The password for the software set-up is demo. (The password is case sensitive) Please note that the password for the actual session is different!

  9. You will then be launched into the meeting space. You’ll be welcomed to the meeting space and congratulated on a successful download.

  10. You can then close out of the application. You can do so by clicking the x box in the top right hand corner, or clicking on the “Meetings” pull down menu and clicking “Leave Meeting.”

Note: These directions will help you download the needed applet in preparation for attending all eSchool sessions.
