Lending Council

CUNA Lending Council

The CUNA Lending Council offers scholarships each year to eligible credit union staff. A scholarship committee, led by Phil Greer, SVP, Loan Administration, State Employees CU, Raleigh, NC, selects the recipients based on asset size, skills need, and financial need.

To be considered as a potential scholarship recipient, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  1. Applicant must be from an affiliated credit union
  2. One scholarship per credit union per year
  3. Credit union must demonstrate a financial need
  4. Full-time employees and volunteers from troubled credit unions are eligible.

Scholarships can be applied to the following programs:

Schools & Conferences

Business Lending Certification Institutes - Application deadline is 6/3
CUNA Collection & Bankruptcy School - Application deadline is 7/28

Note: Recipient must stay at the designated hotel in which the school/conference takes place.
