Posted September 13, 2018 by CUNA Advocacy

Earlier today, the Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection released resources to help consumers prepare financially for disasters and emergencies.  Below you will find the press release.

The Bureau has created a guide to help consumers as they prepare for, recover from, or rebuild their finances after a hurricane, tornado, earthquake, or other disaster. Please share this resource page with your colleagues.

Learn about preparing for, recovering from, and rebuilding after disasters and emergencies.

We have resources to help with your finances at every stage:

  1. Prepare your finances for a natural disaster or other emergency
  2. Recover and protect your money after a natural disaster or other emergency
  3. Rebuild your home, property, and credit after a natural disaster or emergency

Our resources focus on finances. If you need information on your physical safety before, during, and after an emergency, visit the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
