CFPB Accepting Advisory Committee Applications until February 24

The CFPB announced it will begin accepting applications on Monday, January 11, for membership to all four of its advisory committees.  The application window will be open for 45 days, until February 24.  

Below is a bulleted overview of the application process for FY2022 membership.

  • There are 18 vacancies:
  • Advisory committee members serve two year terms, on a staggered cadence.
  • This year, the CFPB will use a new application tool called ACAM (Advisory Committee Application Manager):

o Applicants will need to register for an account and then submit the required information
o Details, and the link to ACAM, will be available beginning January 11, 2021 at https://www.consumerfinance.gov/about-us/advisory-committees/apply/ 

    • The process remains the same in terms of a complete application package:

    o Resume/CV
    o Cover letter
    o Questionnaire
    o Letter(s) of recommendation
