CUNA Witness to Testify Before Senate Banking on Thursday
Posted July 14, 2017 by CUNA Advocacy

Next week, America’s credit unions will again have a seat in front of the Senate Banking Committee dais when they hold a hearing to discuss housing finance reform and maintaining access for small lenders.  Tim Mislansky, SVP and Chief Lending Officer at Wright-Patt Credit Union in Ohio, will testify before the committee on Thursday – July 20th.

Tim brings a wealth of knowledge related to credit union mortgage lending both in his capacity at Wright-Patt, with approximately $3.3 billion in assets, and as President of their wholly-owned CUSO myCUmortgage, which provides processing, underwriting and secondary market services for nearly 200 partner credit unions.

The Committee has been active in their pursuit for housing finance reform.  Last month they held a hearing to discuss the principles of housing finance reform and in May met with the Director of the Federal Housing Agency.

CUNA has been very encouraged by the bipartisan debate for meaningful reform and looks forward to the opportunity for Mr. Mislansky to testify on behalf of America’s credit unions.

The hearing will take place July 20 at 10 a.m. (ET) and will be streamed live on the  Committee’s website.
