On Thursday, November 27, the NCUA Board will attend to a rather large agenda that will include consideration of adoption of a Final Rule on Fields of Membership.  Also noticed is a Proposed Rule on Fields of Membership which will likely encompass some additional changes to the original proposed Fields of Membership rule.  The additional Field of Membership proposed rule has not been made public at this time.  In addition to tackling the Fields of Membership Rule, the Board will consider the following items during the regular portion of the meeting:

  1. Statutory Inflation Adjustment of Civil Money Penalties;

  1. Proposed Interagency Rule on Loans in Areas Having Special Flood Hazards;

  1. Name Change for the Office of Consumer Protection;

  1. Budget Briefing on Supplemental Capital.

During the afternoon portion and after the regular meeting, the Board will conduct the long-awaited Board Briefing on NCUA’s 2017 – 2018 Budget.  It will also take testimony from the public at large.

CUNA and numerous Credit Unions and Leagues will be present at these meetings for the entire day.  We will provide summaries of all actions taken at these meetings.

For those unable to attend the open Board meetings, they are broadcast live via livestream video which can be accessed beginning an hour before the scheduled start of the meeting by going to the agency’s homepage and clicking the provided livestream link.
