NCUA Chairman Debbie Matz Resigns Effective April 30, 2016
Posted March 09, 2016 by Chandler Schuette

Today NCUA Chairman Debbie Matz announced her resignation from the agency’s Board. Chairman Matz notified President Obama in a letter today that her resignation would be effective April 30, 2016.

Matz’s resignation leaves the NCUA Board with only two members, which will require consensus for any Board action.  The White House has not stated if or when it will appoint a new NCUA Chairman, but it is possible one will not be appointed by President Obama and will be appointed by the next president.

Matz has served a total of 11 years on the Board during two separate terms.  Her current term ended on April 10, 2015.
