Representatives from CFPB and NCUA to Participate in Federal Reserve Overdraft Webinar
Posted October 14, 2016 by CUNA Advocacy

On Wednesday, Nov. 9, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Eastern, CFPB and NCUA staff will participate in an interagency overdraft services consumer compliance discussion with the Federal Reserve. There will also be representatives from the FDIC and OCC participating in the discussion.

Credit unions can go to this website to register for this webinar: https://www.webcaster4.com/Webcast/Page/577/17598.

There will be a Questions and Answers segment following the presentation. In addition to taking questions during the webinar, credit unions can send questions via email (SF.BSR.FedAudioConference@sf.frb.org) by October 21.

CUNA is expecting the CFPB to release additional research about overdraft services later this fall, and believe a SBREFA panel could be held prior to a proposed rule sometime in early 2017. CUNA continues to represent credit union concerns surrounding overdraft services to the CFPB.
