Senate Banking Hearing Held on SEC Oversight
Posted September 26, 2017 by CUNA Advocacy

Today the Senate Banking Committee held an oversight hearing on the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The recently reported cyber breach of the SEC was the main focus of SEC Chairman Clayton's testimony.  Chairman Crapo and other members of the committee expressed concerns about the data collection of personal information by government agencies including the CFPB.

CUNA continues to actively advocate for data security legislation in both the House and Senate.
